Here’s a Big Missoula Garage Sale to Add to Your List
My father was addicted to garage sales. He couldn't pass by a garage sale without stopping to "just check it out and see what they have". He spent his last years in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho so he would hit the sales between there and Spokane, Washington every chance he go. We used to test him on what he could find. It didn't matter what we asked him to hunt down for us, he eventually would find it. I have a story about leather pants that I will save for a different day. I still have boxes of garage sale "finds" from him in my basement.

Easy Hikes Around Missoula for Just About Anybody
There are tons of great walking trails, but I tried to pick some trails that put you near or on a mountain and/or had a little bit of incline. Of course, "easy" can be a bit subjective so apply your own judgment when planning a hike. Maclay Flats Nature Trail.
Wrong. Ranking of Two Montana Towns For Staycations is Backward.
It should probably go without saying, but I'll say it anyway, this is my opinion. Recently, a listing of cities across the U.S. that are ideal for staycations was published by Wallethub. It's timely because summer is days away, and some are reporting this will be an unprecedented year for travel. That might entice more than a few people to stay close to home for a vacation. Of course, the downside of a staycation just about anywhere in Montana is that you'll likely be where all the tourists are. But I have faith in you, Montana, that you can find those spots for rest and relaxation that tourists don't know about.
A Giant 50 Mile Garage Sale is Coming Soon to Montana
There is something about shopping at garage sales. You get this feeling like you are a treasure hunter, searching for bargains on stuff that somebody else doesn't want. You never know what you will find. A barely used designer handbag? An old lamp made out of mallard duck carvings? Maybe a vintage set of cocktail glasses that say "Kiss me, I'm Irish?" It all depends on what you are looking for.
Popular Montana BBQ Joint Named One of The Best In America
If you are a meat eater and love good bbq, you should have this Montana joint on your radar. When it comes to BBQ, certain styles are essential. There is North Carolina, Kansas City, and Texas-style BBQ. These types of BBQ are recreated throughout the United States, and everyone loves it. BBQ has you covered, whether you love pulled pork, ribs, burnt ends, or a good cup of baked beans.
Drinking Beer and Kicking Glass. Missoula Recycles In Style
There is no shortage of events to support our great Missoula community. From fundraisers, to park clean-ups, we're always ready to lend a helping hand. Recycling is a big part of that movement. When I think "glass recycling" in Missoula I'm always brought back to the really cool Clear Water...
Missoula’s Five Valley Kennel Club 2023 Dog Show This Weekend
We love dogs here in Montana. Some people love them so much they take them everywhere they go. Here is a gentle reminder that unless the event specifically is for dogs or if you have a service dog, you can leave them at home when you go to events. Coming up this weekend is an event that is specifically for our four legged, fetching, drooling companions. The Five Valley Kennel Club will be hosting their annual dog show this weekend and the Missoula Fair Grounds.
Your Place Inside & Out: How to keep your home warm or cool
MISSOULA, Mont. — Recently we talked about home insulation and how important it is to keep your home warm or cool. But something people aren’t always familiar with is the impact windows have on the same issue. You see windows are made of glass which unfortunately conducts temperature fairly well. Meaning the temperature inside of our home leaks to the outside. Older homes with single pane windows leaked a good amount of air and temperature out of the house regularly. These days we have double pane windows that are two panes of glass separated by invisible gas which dramatically improves efficiency of the windows and of course the home.
Would Montana Restaurants Suffer Pushback With a ‘Share Tax?’
Full disclosure: We are not aware of any restaurants in Montana doing this. But if there are, it can't be good for business, can it?. "It's not the money, it's the principle of the thing." Yeah, maybe yes, maybe no. But a couple more bucks out of nowhere can be frustrating to people, say, on a fixed income, trying to enjoy a meal at a restaurant. And you see more and more places implementing $2, $3 and $4 service fees if you pay with credit or debit cards. Missoula restaurants and eating establishments everywhere have to constantly pivot and balance revenue streams with customer relationships. I don't envy them. It's not easy.

Who’s Ready To Rock A Road Trip For Three Days Grace & Chevelle?
And the hits just keep on coming! We're pretty locked and loaded with some huge, local rock shows coming to Missoula, but what about a road trip-worthy show?. As soon as this lineup was announced today, I thought to myself "When is the last time you've seen either Three Days Grace or Chevelle in concert"? The answer is "a very long while ago" for both.
