Rosebud man convicted of assault with a dangerous weapon

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - A federal jury has convicted a 31-year-old Rosebud man of two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon following a two-day trial in Pierre. Ervin Burning Breast Jr. was found guilty Nov. 4 in connection with an incident that happened on Dec. 24, 2025, on the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
