MINOT, N.D — The Magic City welcomes in their first official boys volleyball team called the Minot Crusaders founded by captain ChuChu Ugobi, holding an official match against the Carnduff Tigers out of Saskatchewan, Canada on Monday.

The Minot Crusaders are a club volleyball team hoping to bring more exposure to the sport of boys’ volleyball. The Crusaders offer programs for teenagers to play for fun, or if you’re a more serious competitor they welcome newcomers with open arms.

“This year I was like you know what it’s better to try and fail than to not try at all, so me and my friends two seniors, have been working hard to get this thing set up. The coach is an alumnus from Our Redeemers Christian School and a lot of our players are from ORCS and Minot High as well, so we started out practicing at the YMCA first practice, we practiced at elementary schools, we practiced at Our Redeemer’s a few times and now we got our first game and today here we are its be,” Ugobi said.
