Dallas Turner is betting favorite to win Defensive Rookie of the Year

The Minnesota Vikings have two electric rookies they selected in the first round and edge rusher Dallas Turner is currently favored to win Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Turner is currently +400 on Draft Kings Sportsbook to win the award, slightly above Indianapolis Colts edge rusher Laiatu Latu at +550. After the top two, Philadephia Eagles cornerback Quinyon Mitchell and Los Angeles Rams edge rusher Jared Verse are tied at third with +1100 odds.

Turner is coming into a defense that loves to aggressive, multiple and versatile. His movement skills are truly special for someone of his size and defensive coordinator Brian Flores is going to be a major factor in helping him take the next step in his development.

Another factor in Turner winning the award will be playing time. Despite being the third edge on the team, Flores loves to use three edge rushers on the field at the time and that will put Turner in advantageous positions.

Will Turner bring the award home? Hard to say, but he's in a great spot.
