Anthony Edwards Hilariously Tries To Find Out Who Farted On Timberwolves' Bench

Anthony Edwards had a lot to be happy about on Monday, as the Minnesota Timberwolves registered a crushing 106-80 win over the Denver Nuggets in Game 2. Edwards was rather upset at one point during the game, though, as it appeared as if someone on the Timberwolves' bench farted and he wanted to know who did it.

I think Edwards was also defending himself at the end there, by hilariously making it clear he wasn't the one who farted. I wonder if the culprit was eventually caught.

Regardless, Edwards was all smiles at the end as they won with ease, and that's what matters. The Timberwolves were the underdogs coming into this series and they have now won both games in Denver to take a commanding 2-0 lead.

Edwards dominated in that first game with 43 points and while he wasn't quite as good in this one, the 22-year-old still finished with 27 points, 2 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 steals. With Edwards leading the way, the Timberwolves are now just two wins away from their second-ever appearance in the Western Conference Finals. He truly has changed the fortunes of a franchise that was mired in mediocrity for over a decade.

Anthony Edwards Has Been Unstoppable In These Playoffs

The Timberwolves took some major strides this season and finished with a 56-26 record to be the third seed in the Western Conference. There were still some doubts about whether they'd make a deep run, especially as they were matched up with the Phoenix Suns in the first round.

Phoenix had won all three regular-season meetings between the teams by double digits, but Edwards ensured the script would be flipped in the playoffs. The Timberwolves completely outplayed the Suns and ended up sweeping them, with Edwards being the best player on the court.

While that was ever so impressive, I thought the Conference Semifinals was as far as Edwards would be able to take this team. I didn't see the Timberwolves knocking out the Nuggets, but now, it is hard to see how they won't knock them out.

If and when that happens, conversations will start on whether Edwards has a case to be regarded as the best player in the NBA. The two-time All-Star is averaging 32.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.8 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game in these playoffs while shooting 54.7% from the field and 41.9% from beyond the arc.

Those are some ridiculous numbers, especially for someone who is still so young. With how well Edwards and the team as a whole have played thus far, I think you have to make the Timberwolves the favorites now to get to the NBA Finals from the West.

While Edwards has been this offensive force that teams just have had no answer for in these playoffs, the Timberwolves defense has perhaps been just as impressive. They shut down the Suns' offense and have now held the Nuggets to under 100 points in each of the first two games of this series. If they keep playing this well, I don't see the Oklahoma City Thunder or the Dallas Mavericks beating them over seven games.
