Charles Barkley Used Five Words To Sum Up Timberwolves-Nuggets Series

The Minnesota Timberwolves have taken a commanding 2-0 series lead against the defending champion Denver Nuggets. They've done this with the leadership of Anthony Edwards and efficiency behind the best defensive team in the league.

NBA on TNT analyst Charles Barkley spoke on the series, sharing his truthful thoughts on the Timberwolves' chances to advance to the Western Conference Finals.

“This series is a wrap. Minnesota is better than the Nuggets. They don’t have an advantage anywhere. … They’re gonna sweep the Denver Nuggets. Period," said Barkley, via NBA on TNT on X.

This may have been taken too far since the Nuggets are the defending champs, but Minnesota looks like they're a step over everyone in the playoffs.

Barkley's declaration shows the true dominance that the Timberwolves have shown. There's only been one other case in NBA history where the defending champions have gone down 2-0 at home, and that team wound up getting swept.

The same scenario could definitely be in discussion for Denver in the second round.
