ST.CLAIRSVILLE,OHIO (WTRF) – Several area athletes advanced to the Ohio Division III regional track and field meet with strong showings at Thursday’s district meet at St.Clairsville.

One of the highlights Thursday included Shadyside’s Nathan Booth breaking the 35-year old district record in the 110m high hurdles. Booth crossed the line in a time of 14.38 breaking the old mark of 14.43 set by Randy Rouse of Mingo Junction in 1989.

The top four finishers from each event advance to next week’s regional tournament at Heath.
