Milton maintained its recent offensive prowess and held to beat host Watertown 7-4 after the Goslings cut a six-run deficit down to three in the sixth inning.

The Red Hawks opened the game with three consecutive singles, including an RBI hit from Kenzie Marquardt, her first of three base knocks on the night.

Molly Baker also drove in a run with a hit in the first and was 2 for 3 in the game.

Gwen Baker and Sophie Mezera hit back-to-back RBI singles in the fifth, then Jenna Benash drove in a run with a single in the seventh to give Milton a 7-1 advantage.

Two of the first three Goslings batters to face Gwen Baker in the bottom of the sixth reached on base hits, then Alyx Johnson delivered a two-run single to cut into Milton’s lead.

Ava Novotny drove in a run on a groundout to make it 7-4, but Gwen Baker got Cassidy Peplinski to ground out to end the sixth.

Breanna Meracle reached on a two-out single in the seventh, but no further damage was done as the Red Hawks finished off the season sweep of the Goslings.
