Attempted Child Abduction Reported in Cumberland County
DORCHESTER, NJ – On Saturday, an unidentified man allegedly tried to abduct a 7-year-old boy from a Wawa convenience store on State Highway 47 in Dorchester, Cumberland County. The incident occurred at around 12:20 pm when the unidentified man entered the store’s bathroom and approached the boy. The suspect, an older white male with gray hair combed back, wearing blue jeans and a maroon or burgundy t-shirt, offered the child candy and tried to persuade him to leave the store.
