    Coleman Frost Gets Victory on the Mound Under the Lights in Chargers Annual Game at Michelin Field

    Coleman Frost made his first start for the Chargers in the annual Friday Night Lights game at Milltown's Michelin Field. The senior struck out five to earn the victory on the mound.

    MILLTOWN, NJ - The Friday Night Lights game at Milltown's Michelin Field is always special and brings out the fans. Friday's weather cooperated, and the Chargers wrapped up their 16 th victory of the season, defeating Dunellen High School 12-2. Coleman Frost made his first career start for the Chargers on his hometown field.

    Frost earned the win, pitching four innings and giving up two runs on five hits. The senior struck out five. Breckyn DeAngelis picked up the save for the Chargers. DeAngelis, another Milltown native, pitched the final inning of the game, giving up one run on one hit and striking out one. The senior hit two singles and had two RBIs. Kristian Roman was charged with the loss for Dunellen. Roman pitched three innings, giving up nine runs on six hits. Cole Mayer spent two innings on the mound for Dunellen. Mayer gave up two runs on four hits.

    It was a big game offensively for Milltown natives Will Buchan, Carter Cumiskey, Mason Bitalla and Gavin Cahill. Cumiskey and Buchan combined at the plate for two home runs, six RBIs and four runs scored. Bitalla hit three singles and had an RBI. Cahill hit his first two career singles for Spotswood. The senior also scored a run.

    Ryan Orth scored two of the Chargers' runs. Mateo Rivera hit a single and scored two runs for Spotswood. Shawn Lennan hit a single and scored a run. Colin Pfeiffer had an RBI. Sebastian Saracino scored two runs. Michael Dow, Ryan Hutchins, Danny Watts and Luke Shealy had hits for Dunellen.

    The annual Friday Night Lights game at Michelin Field is a Spotswood High School tradition. Friday's game comes on the heels of the Chargers clinching back-to-back Greater Middlesex Conference Blue Division championships for the first time since the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
