Pumpkin Run rallies support for Millsboro Fire Company

MILLSBORO – The streets of Millsboro and roadways across parts of Delmarva in mid-May will serve as the staging ground for a rather unique fundraiser supporting the Millsboro Fire Company.

The 23 ^rd Annual Pumpkin Run, hosted by the North East Rally Club, will be held Friday through Sunday, May 17-19.

The rally is a competition of skill, navigation, calculation, teamwork and ability to decipher precise instructions. “It’s a timed, speed, distance endurance rally,” said road rally enthusiast Bob Bryan of Millsboro, who started this event more than two decades ago.

As of mid-April, entries have come from rallyists from Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Nebraska, Vermont, Florida, Maine, Virginia, Maryland and Delaware.
