Gov. Shapiro, lawmakers tout Pa's 'Clean Slate 3.0' law
HARRISBURG, Pa. — Lawmakers in Harrisburg celebrated the third expansion of a law Pennsylvania pioneered that’s sealed more than 43 million criminal records. Governor Josh Shapiro ceremoniously signed the bill dubbed Clean Slate 3.0 into law alongside members of both chambers. The measure officially became law in December.

The Lower Paxton Township police asked for the public’s help finding Jahmeir Johnson, 13. As of 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, he has returned home safe. Police said Johnson was last seen just before 7 p.m. on Monday wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants and black slides. He was leaving his home in the 6500 block of Blue Ridge Avenue in the township.

Police dog bit innocent bystander while searching for gun at homicide scene
A police dog searching for a gun at the scene of a recent homicide in Susquehanna Township bit a resident on Friday, officials confirmed. Lower Paxton police were asked to help Susquehanna Township police between 2 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. on Friday to help search for a firearm at the Whisperwood Apartments at 3602 Brookridge Terrace when the incident happened, according to Jack Sherzer, the township’s communications manager.
Police chase stretched across 2 central Pa. counties before ending in crash
A police chase Monday night that originated in Harrisburg ended in a crash in York County, emergency dispatch and police confirmed. A vehicle was stolen from the area of South 13th and Derry Streets around 10 p.m., Harrisburg police Lt. Kyle Gautsch said. The chase ended at exit 22 of Interstate 83 southbound around 10:30, dispatch said.
