MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- Two fugitives wanted out of central Texas were arrested this week after investigators linked them to a residence in Midland.

According to the Midland Police Department, 18-year-old Jayden Dangelo Medearis and 19-year-old Tavion Malique Williams have been charged with Capital Murder in connection with a homicide out of Lee County, near Austin. MPD said the incident involving the two men happened in early March, but did not disclose the details of that homicide.

Records show that investigators with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office identified Medearis and William, along with one other man, Atlantic Eredia-Johnson as suspects in the death of a College Station man, identified as Carlos Green. Investigators said Green died of a gunshot wound on March 5.

During the criminal investigation into Green’s death, detectives learned that both Medearis and Williams had addresses in Midland. On Monday, April 22, officers identified and took Medearis into custody, but Williams remained at large until April 25 when Williams called police and said he wanted to surrender. Williams was subsequently found and arrested at a Dollar General store located at 2300 Fairgrounds Road.

Both men have since been taken back to Lee County. A mugshot for Medearis not immediately available.
