28-year-old Knoxville man dies in crash on Interstate 40 at Exit 407
Charles A. Cox, 28, of Knoxville, died in a crash in the early morning hours of March 11 on Interstate 40. Cox's pickup truck crashed into the back of a semi truck parked on the shoulder along I-40 East at Exit 407 at about 2:30 a.m., according to a news release from the city of Sevierville. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi truck driver was not hurt. Police closed several eastbound lanes to investigate the crash.
