Girardville Suspends Police Department
GIRARDVILLE BOROUGH, SCHUYLKILL CO. (WOLF) — To save taxpayers money, the Girardville Borough Government toyed with suspending their police department. “We need to either increase taxes in the upcoming year or do we make the hard decision and say enough is enough, we give it our best shot, we can only increase taxes so much to fix a problem,” says Mayor Michael Zangari.
