Shawsheen Tech Roundup: Ram softball falls to Greater Lowell
Last Thursday, the Shawsheen Tech softball team dipped to 2-4 overall after a 15-6 loss to Lowell Catholic and a 13-1 defeat at the hands of Greater Lowell. Against Greater Lowell, Alivia Imbimbo went 3 for 3 at the plate for the Rams and Haylee Johnston had the other Shawsheen hit.

The rally caps came on for North Brunswick during the seventh inning of its 4-2 comeback victory over Lawrence in Lawrenceville. North Brunswick (14-4) tallied three runs during its last licks at the dish to grab a two-run lead and then watched Jordan Tarabokia come back out to complete the Raiders’ rally by tossing a scoreless frame in the bottom half of the inning.

TEWKSBURY — It’s all happened so fast for Jake Cunha. In fact, it’s safe to say the freshman standout hasn’t had a chance to exhale since mid-November. The skillful blueliner cracked the Tewksbury High hockey team this winter, totaling 17 points while occupying a top-four role on the Redmen’s defensive core en route to an appearance in the Div. 2 state finals.
Burlington Baseball and Softball Association Opening Day Ceremonies Return
The Burlington Baseball and Softball Association returned to their traditional opening day parade and ceremony after a five year hiatus. Robert Parris is BCAT’s Sports and Features Reporter. Robert first got involved with BCAT in January 2016 as a volunteer news reporter. Throughout the year, as a volunteer, he was busy developing his technical skills at the studio and his ENG skills in the field. In the summer of 2017, Robert joined the team full-time. He quickly settled into his role, providing all of the production support for our news programs, as well as providing weekly sports highlights. Robert also produces a weekly feature for BNEWS, as well as a monthly show called, BNEWS Sports Hub, and BCAT’s Game of the Week.
