Sparkle presents Friends for Life's charity golf tournament

Dog grooming salon Sparkle will be the presenting sponsor for Friends for Life’s annual golf tournament fundraiser, All FORE the Animals, taking place April 27 at Superstition Springs Golf Club in Mesa.

The fundraiser will be a tournament-style, four-person scramble that will benefit Friends for Life Animal Sanctuary, a registered nonprofit no-kill, volunteer-based organization that focuses on rescuing stray animals from off the streets and the rural desert areas of Arizona communities.

Sparkle, located in Gilbert, focuses on wellness-focused hygiene and salon style grooming for dogs, by offering grooming plans and services, including memberships, to help families maintain a routine schedule to keep their dogs clean and healthy.  A portion of every membership and grooming visit there supports the needs of local k9 service, adoption and rehoming facilities.

The cost to participate is $300 for a pair or $550 for a foursome, which includes 18 holes of golf with cart, an awards lunch with prizes for first, second and third place, range balls and scoring with Golf Genius.

The awards lunch will include a barbecue chicken sandwich, macaroni salad, Caesar salad and iced tea or water.

Contests will include closest to the pin, women’s/men’s longest drive and guess your drive. The cost is $10 per contest or $20 for all three. “The Shoot Out” Hole-in-One winner will receive $10,000. The cost is $20 buy in.

Participants also buy a “Super Pass” that includes three mulligans and one entry into each of the contests.

Other extras include one mulligan for $5 or three for $10; a best-dressed foursome prize; a 50/50 drawing that costs $10 per ticket or 11 tickets for $100; and raffle prizes.
