Dodge City, KS – A significant winter storm is expected to impact southwest Kansas late Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning, bringing heavy snow and strong winds. According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Dodge City, a strong cold front will enter the region Tuesday night, with precipitation initially light but intensifying overnight. As cold air deepens, rain will likely transition to heavy, wind-driven snow, creating hazardous travel conditions. The greatest impact is expected along and north of Kansas Route 96.
