Video: Man on moped leads police on low-speed chase on I-94 in Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - An 18-year-old man was arrested Tuesday morning after leading state troopers on a short police chase on I-94 in Minneapolis on an allegedly stolen moped. Traffic cameras captured the man riding the moped the wrong way on I-94 around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, by the Dowling onramp to Hwy 94, before he was trailed by two state patrol squad cars, in what looks like a very slow, and brief police chase. The man then abandoned the moped, appeared to run across the highway, and jump into the trailer of a pickup truck.

Video: Driver fights trooper near Lowry Tunnel in Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS – New video shows tense moments for a Minnesota State Patrol trooper Monday morning on the side of Interstate 94 in Minneapolis. The state patrol says the trooper stopped to help a driver during the morning rush hour near the Lowry Tunnel, but the driver started to fight. MnDOT cameras show the trooper and driver tussling on the ground. The driver then takes off running into traffic and is nearly struck by passing vehicles. He manages to flag down a car, hop in the passenger side window, and take off.Investigators are still working to figure out the driver's identity. Nobody was hurt.
Fatal crash in South Saint Paul, alcohol suspected
SOUTH SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA - According to a press release from the South Saint Paul Police Department, Monday, June 5, 2023, at 3:20 pm, South Saint Paul Police Officers responded to a two-vehicle head-on crash with multiple injuries being reported near Concord Street South and Chestnut Street. Police say one person was critically injured in the crash and another was killed. Alcohol impairment is believed to play a role in this crash. Multiple injuries after police chase ends with crash in north Mpls, bus shelter destroyed
MINNEAPOLIS -- Police say a pursuit of a stolen vehicle ended in north Minneapolis Monday when the driver hit another car and both vehicles crashed into a bus shelter.The crash occurred at Highway 55 and Penn Avenue North. A sergeant at the scene told WCCO's Reg Chapman there were five juveniles in the stolen vehicle, and all were hospitalized after the crash. 6 juveniles detained after running from police, crashing stolen car
MINNEAPOLIS – Six juveniles are in trouble with the law after leading Hennepin County authorities on a pursuit in a stolen car and crashing in north Minneapolis. Deputies said they tried to stop a vehicle suspected of being involved in multiple armed robberies Monday, but the driver fled and ended up hitting another car. The suspect vehicle also crashed into a bus shelter, injuring a man.
