    Man carjacked after driving suspect to gas station

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are looking for the suspect who carjacked a man after he gave him a ride to a gas station.

    Police responded to a carjacking at the Marathon gas station on Winchester Road near Outland Road Friday morning.

    According to police, the victim told investigators that he drove a man named “Jerome” to the gas station. Afterward, police say “Jerome” pulled a knife and forced the victim out of the car.

    The suspect took off in the victim’s 2003 Nissan Altima. Memphis Police say the suspect was last seen heading south on Outland Road.

    Memphis Police released surveillance footage of the possible suspect Friday. Police say the suspect is 25-30 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall, and has a thin build.
