GOLIAD — Goliad Family Practice will permanently close on Nov. 13 as Cuero Regional Hospital redirects healthcare funding and staffing back to its primary tax district. The facility was originally purchased from area doctors in 2015 to prevent local clinic doors from shutting. Even though the practice sits outside the hospital’s designated tax boundaries, the health system subsidized its day-to-day operations for over a decade before electing to realign its operational strategy.
