Tallahassee Metro Deli expands, brings classic sandwiches to Southwood

After nearly 24 years downtown, Metro Deli has officially expanded with a second location. It's in The Town Center at Southwood, 3197 Merchants Row Boulevard, in the former storefront of the Southwood Sweets ice cream and candy shop. It officially opened Oct. 10, just in time for its hungry fans to get their hands on the seasonal "Harvest Turkey" sandwich, made with sliced fried turkey, lettuce, tomato, cranberry honey mustard and provolone cheese, served on a croissant. "I feel very lucky to have made it this far," Metro Deli owner Rob Bazemore said in a previous sit down interview with the Tallahassee Democrat Aug. 17.
