    Local restaurant owners donate $25K to STC culinary arts students

    EDINBURG, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — Local restaurant owners are providing scholarships to South Texas College Culinary Arts students.

    Owners of the Santa Fe Steakhouse, University Draft House and Republic of the Rio Grande donated $25,000 to STC.

    The donation will be able to assist students with tuition, books and other school-related expenses.

    “This is an exciting announcement for our STC Foundation and our Culinary Arts department,” said Rodney Rodriguez, Ph.D., vice president of Institutional Advancement and Economic Development.

    STC says, at least 25 culinary arts students will be receiving $1,000 scholarships.
