Pvt. First Class Oliver H. Lankford, a U.S. soldier who served in World War I, was posthumously responsible for an impromptu gathering at the Milam County Courthouse on Monday afternoon. Woman arrested after Temple crash and assaults
Temple, Tx (FOX 44) – UPDATE: A 50-year-old Temple woman is facing multiple charges after a Saturday traffic crash ended up with people being assaulted. Arrest made in Rockdale shooting
ROCKDALE, Texas (FOX 44) – One man has been arrested after a shooting in Rockdale on Saturday morning. The Rockdale Police Department received a disturbance call from a residence in the 600 block of Coulter Street at approximately 7:26 a.m. The caller said two adult brothers were physically fighting in the front yard, and that one of the individuals was attempting to get a handgun from a vehicle.

BNSF Gives Intermodal Network Update After Flooding in East Texas
FORT WORTH, Texas – BNSF gives an intermodal network update after flood-related track outages occurred in Texas. After high water levels in the area, the Class I was able to re-route traffic in the Fort Worth subdivision between Temple, Texas and the Texas/Oklahoma border. Its teams were able to complete track repairs as the water levels decreased because it had “recovery equipment and materials pre-positioned.” The main track resumed service on Tuesday, the 7th. That same day, a derailment occurred in the subdivision near Clifton, located 39 miles northwest of Waco. The main track opened on the 9th, “but customers should expect lingering delays into next week as traffic normalizes.”
