BridgeWay Station in Mauldin to host grand opening event

A long-awaiting grand opening celebration will be held for a mixed-use development in Mauldin.

BridgeWay Station, the Upstate’s first new town center development, according to a news release, will host a ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration on Saturday, April 27, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Developed by Hughes Investments Inc., BridgeWay Station , 1000 BridgeWay Blvd., is an urban village anchored by European-inspired architecture featuring boutiques, dining options and residential space.

“BridgeWay Station is the culmination of decades of planning and extraordinary input from planners, architects, City, County, and State officials, and so many more,” said Phil Hughes, President and Owner of Hughes Investments, in the release. “We are so appreciative and grateful for the opportunity to bring this unique development to the Upstate.”

The grand opening celebration will include special remarks from dignitaries, live music by Oxford Soul, fireworks and more. The event is open to the public and free to attend.

Dignitaries on hand include Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette; Terry Merritt, mayor of Mauldin; Dan Tripp, county council chairman; State Rep. Bruce Bannister; and State Sen. Ross Turner.
