BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) – The clock is ticking for Austin Master Services, an oil and gas waste management company in Martins Ferry.

The company is required to remove thousands of tons of waste material from their facility by the end of the tonight, Wednesday, April 17.

Martins Ferry Mayor John Davies confirmed that the company has until midnight to get it done.

Attorney General Dave Yost had requested a temporary restraining order against the company back in March because of the accumulation of dangerous waste materials exceeding the permitted limit.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) previously confirmed to 7News that the court granted a preliminary injunction on April 3, adding that Austin Master Services would have 14 days to comply, which would include removing excess waste.

ODNR Communications Chief Andy Chow did not immediately respond to 7News about whether Austin Master Services was on track to remove that waste by the end of the day April 17.
