Nine North Augusta seniors sign to play sports at the next level
AUGUSTA, GA (WJBF) – It was a special day at north Augusta as nine seniors signed to play sports at the next level. From football Manny Jordan is headed to Methodist University and Seth Vaughn is headed to Erskine. From track Dylan Evans is headed to Lander. Wrestler Ian Brannen is headed to Limestone University along with Ke’Andre Green. Dancers Lauren Bell and Kayla Dorn are headed to USC Aiken. Justus Holden is headed to Lander for soccer, and he says this is something he has wanted his whole life.
RiverDogs and GreenJackets Suspended in 11th Inning
North Augusta, SC - The Charleston RiverDogs Saturday night game with the Augusta GreenJackets was suspended by rain in the middle of the 11th inning with the RiverDogs holding a 2-1 lead. As the team took the field for the bottom of the frame, the skies opened up and rain began to fall harder as the umpires called for the tarp. The game will be resumed at 1:35 p.m. Sunday, with the regularly scheduled nine-inning contest to follow.
