Voters pick Kristen Ishihara as Longview's new mayor
LONGVIEW, Texas — Voters chose Kristen Ishihara as the next mayor of Longview following Saturday's election. She defeated District 1 City Councilman Temple Carpenter in a two-person race. Ishihara received 4,103 votes, or 74.65%, while Carpenter received 1,393, or 25.35%, according to unofficial election results for the city of Longview.
