SHELL LAKE — Washburn County District Attorney Aaron Marcoux announced that Antionette Brewer was convicted of conspiracy to deliver heroin. On Thursday, May 9, Brewer was sentenced to 25 years in the Wisconsin State Prison System, consisting of 15 years of initial incarceration followed by 10 years of extended supervision. This case concluded a multi-state heroin conspiracy investigation that was initiated in 2016. A Webster man, Calvin D. Riley, 32, had his initial appearance Friday, May 3, 2024, in Sawyer County Circuit Court on a charge of first-degree reckless homicide by delivering Fentanyl in the death of 44-year-old Gerald Rusk at a residence near Whitefish Lake on May 22, 2022.
