Marietta Teen Accused of Having Knife at School

A Marietta teenager is accused of having a knife at Marietta High School.

Courtney Clore, 17, is accused of possessing a pocket knife on March 14 between 7:50 a.m. and 9:26 a.m. at the Woods Wilkins Campus on Lemon Street, and between 2:30 and 5 p.m. at Marietta High School, according to an arrest warrant from the Marietta Police Department.

Clore also brandished the knife in her hand at Marietta High School while facing a victim and wanting to fight them, but was held back by witnesses. Clore told a witness that she was going to “shank” the victim, according to the warrant.

Clore is charged with three counts of carrying weapons within school safety zone; simple assault fear; and terroristic threats — misdemeanor. She was arrested March 15 at 9:36 a.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records.

Clore remains in custody. Bond was set at $5,000.
