Braves Pitcher Buys Lunch for Cobb Firefighters
Cobb County firefighters at Station 19 welcomed an extra special guest Tuesday. Atlanta Braves pitcher A.J. Minter visited the station to show his appreciation for their service across Cobb County, which includes Truist Park. Minter came with lunch from Chick-fil-A and a custom-made jersey with their station number and "The Rock" nickname that he had autographed. In return, Minter received a tour of the fire station, a trip in the fire engine and a Cobb County Fire belt buckle. This was the first of monthly visits Minter will make this season to local police and fire stations to show his appreciation for first responders, in partnership with the Atlanta Braves Foundation.

BeltLine announces faster timetable for completing Southside Trail in time for 2026 World Cup
ATLANTA — A faster timetable was announced Wednesday for completing the BeltLine's Southside Trail in time for the 2026 World Cup. According to a release by Atlanta BeltLine, Inc., Segments 2 and 3 of the trail were originally set to be finished in June 2026 and will now be "fast-tracked for construction and will be open within the first three months of 2026."
