Earlier in the winter, several Norwood Young America FFA members went to compete in the regional Fish and Wildlife contest at Maple River High School in Mapleton.

The varsity team consisted of Jacob Hoen, Kate Noll, Kort Booth, Alec Minkel, and Bryce Urness. As a team, they finished just outside the top 5 in a very competitive field of students.

A JV individual from NYA, Cameron Kotecki, also placed a valiant effort in the event. The Fish and Wildlife contest mainly consisted of identifying a broad range of wildlife from fish to birds as well as a test consisting of different animal questions and technology relating to wildlife management.
