It’s always a party when Maple Grove and Osseo meet on the softball diamond. The Crimson hosted the Orioles on April 25 and were looking to win their third straight game after a 2-2 start.

After suffering a loss to Andover, Maple Grove beat Wayzata 11-1 on April 22 and Elk River 13-3 on Wednesday, April 23 for back-to-back wins.

Alayna Carmon earned the win after allowing four runs in six innings off of one hit and seven walks to six Ks. Sam Sportel pitched the final inning in relief.

That set up the game between Maple Grove and Osseo.

Maple Grove was on a mission to get head coach Jim Koltes his 400th career win and the mission was successful. The Crimson dispatched the Orioles 14-1. Osseo only mustered two hits as a team, both by Kiersten Avant.
