Northwest Iowa Community College Announces New Recreation and Athletics Director
Northwest Iowa Community College (NCC) announces Eric Francis as the new Recreation and Athletics Director, effective July 1. Hailing from Pocahontas, Iowa, Eric Francis brings a wealth of experience and a robust educational background to his new role. He holds an Associate of Arts with a Business Focus and Coaching Authorization from Iowa Central Community College, and has furthered his education at the University of Iowa with courses in Business and Teaching. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Teaching with a focus on Social Sciences from the University of Northern Iowa. He has also completed Evaluator Training by AEA and Athletic Administration classes by IHSADA.

Dobson organs make final four of Coolest Thing Made in Iowa contest
DES MOINES, Iowa (KCAU) — A Siouxland product has advanced to the top four in the Iowa Association of Business and Industry’s (ABI) Coolest Thing Made in Iowa contest. Custom built pipe organs made by Dobson Pipe Organ Builders, Ltd. in Lake City are one of four finalists, the Iowa ABI and MidWestOne Bank announced on Friday. Over 80 products across the state of Iowa were nominated and voted on by the public, narrowing them down to 68, then to 16, then to 8.
