New York’s Fifth Avenue has been seeing a return of luxury brands , with names like Rolex and Chanel expected to become tenants this year. You may not need reasons outside of its proximity to designer duds to lay down some residential roots, but a newly listed penthouse at 277 Fifth Avenue, the tallest residential tower on New York’s Fifth Avenue, has loads more to offer.

To begin with, the modern residence, Penthouse 54, offers a landscaped loggia that spans the width of the full-floor penthouse, while floor-to-ceiling windows frame 360-degree views of the Manhattan skyline, in particular an up-close view of the Empire State Building. Four bedrooms, each with a private bath, are spread across 4,520 square feet. There’s also a powder room for guests.

The primary bedroom connects to the loggia that runs the entire width of the full-floor penthouse.

Rafael Viñoly Architects is behind the design of the NoMad tower, which stands 673 feet tall just a few blocks south of the Empire State Building (ESB). Key interior features include swoon-worthy high ceilings and oversized windows. The interiors were implemented by Jeffrey Beers Interiors, and as luxe as the materials found throughout may be, the home’s minimalistic design and its unique window framing prioritize the wrap-around views that bring the space to life.

Case in point: the massive great room offers a long-shot view of the One World Trade, and elsewhere, including from the loggia, there’s a surreal, up-close view of the ESB. In the eat-in kitchen, white oak cabinetry, marble counters, Miele appliances, a wine fridge, and a six-burner gas range facilitate whipping up a feast. And, if you don’t feel like dining at the breakfast bar or formal dining room, the landscaped loggia is an ideal spot for an alfresco meal at sunrise or sunset.

There are 360-degree views, including an up-close view of the Empire State Building.

The principal bedroom occupies a quiet wing of its own with East River views and direct access to the loggia. There are two entrances to the suite, one off the bedroom corridor and the other through the laundry room, which connects to the kitchen. Other creature comforts include a walk-in closet that is ripe for customization and a spa bath that is filled with natural light and features a soaking tub that overlooks the cityscape. An adjacent ensuite bedroom is easily incorporated into the principal suite as a study, home office, or dressing room.

The premier condominium in NoMad provides residents with white-glove services on top of a private library, a fitness room (with a steam room and sauna), and a children’s playroom. Hotspots like The Portrait Bar at The Fifth Avenue Hotel are also just a stone’s throw away for afternoon relaxation. Mara Flash Blum and Nikki Field of Sotheby’s International Realty hold the listing.
