MANDAN, ND ( KXNET ) — Joshua Johnson has announced that he’s running for the only Senate seat in District 34 — the district that encompasses most of Mandan and the area south along Highway 1806.

“The people of North Dakota deserve far better than what they are getting from the current majority,” Johnson said. “Integrity must be restored to our legislature.”

Johnson is a North Dakota native and will be running on the Democratic-NPL ticket in the June primary.

He currently works for Century High School, is a small business owner, and serves on several Bismarck-Mandan area boards.

“As a member of the legislature, I will work to ensure that women in this state have access to the healthcare they need,” Johnson concluded.
