    Accused DUI driver charged in crash that killed passenger, dog in Manassas

    PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Police said the driver of a car that collided with a pickup truck, killing his passenger, was under the influence when the crash happened.

    The Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) said Friday that Jason Carter Lambeth, 46, of Manassas faces charges that include aggravated involuntary manslaughter-DUI related.

    Investigators said Lambeth failed to yield the right-of-way to a pickup truck as his car and the truck made their way into the intersection of Yates Ford and Evans Ford roads on April 15. The car and truck collided. Lambeth’s passenger, Jessica Lynn Randall, 32, of Manassas was hurt. Medics took her to the hospital.

    The Prince William County Police Department found out on April 26 that Randall died as a result of her injuries.

    A pug that was in the car with here and Lambeth died the day of the crash. The driver of the pickup truck was injured, but he survived.

    As of May 3, Lambeth was in jail without bond.
