A top target for Nebraska in the class of 2025 has recapped his official visit on social media. Nicolas Clayton is an EDGE rusher from F.W. Buchholz High out of Gainesville, Florida. Clayton took an official visit to Lincoln on May 10 and described the visit as a fantastic process. Everything has been amazing. I’ve had a ton of fun throughout the entire process. I’ve been having a good time. My family has been having a good time. My mom has been really impressed with the entire facility and the staff. Nearly $90 million Waverly School District bond fails
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Voters in the Waverly School District rejected a nearly $90 million bond issue. According to unofficial final results released Tuesday night by the Lancaster County Election Commission, 1,605 people voted against the school bond, while 757 voted in favor of it. Although provisional ballots are yet to be counted, with 68% of voters opposing the measure, its passage appears unlikely.
State leaders and mental health advocates differ on ADA violations
LINCOLN, Neb. — Gov. Jim Pillen said he feels good about the progress his administration is making toward helping people with severe mental illness stay in their homes. And he is not concerned about the U.S. Justice Department's claim that Nebraska is "unnecessarily segregating" people with mental health disabilities in violation of federal law.
