Thanks to Aldo Leopold Nature Center’s Nature Net program, families can spend time outside this summer learning about the environment using the Nature Passport.

    What is the Nature Passport?

The free self-guided activity journal invites participants to visit various Nature Net sites (
think: Henry Vilas Zoo, Olbrich Botanical Gardens, Pheasant Branch Conservancy, etc ). At each site, you’ll find information and a suggested activity for kids to complete.

    Here’s how to participate:
    • Pick up your passport at local member sites or any Madison Public Library branch.
    • Stamp your passport at every place you visit.
    • Use the QR code in your passport to get your special nature mission.
    • Complete at least two challenges and visit select Nature Net sites (or contact the Aldo Leopold Nature Center directly) to receive a prize.
This year’s theme is “Nature is everywhere.” Here, in the 608, that couldn’t be more true.
