Madison Night Mares name new head coach

MADISON, Wis. -- The Madison Night Mares have named a new head coach with less than one month left until the team takes the field for its first-ever game.

Aaron Moore will lead the Night Mares in their inaugural season with Northwoods League Softball. He takes over for Raquel Savoy, who resigned from the team.

"I'm very excited about the opportunity to be the head coach of the Night Mares for the 2024 season," said Moore. "This is going to be a great experience for the players, coaches, and fans of the league and I can't wait to get on the field."

Moore was an assistant coach at Trinity Christian College in 2023. He has seven years of head coaching experience between Roosevelt University and Morton College.

The Night Mares will open the season on the road, traveling to play the La Crosse Steam on Saturday, June 15. The Night Mares will then welcome in La Crosse the next day Sunday, June 16, for its home opener at the Duck Pond at Warner Park. First pitch is set for 6:05 p.m.
