OAKLAND COUNTY (WWJ) - An endangered missing advisory issued by police in Madison Heights is cancelled after the teen who disappeared 12 hours ago returned home on Wednesday morning.

According to the Madison Heights Police Department, William Szpanelewski, 16, voluntarily left his home in the area of 1640 Nottingham around 10:00 p.m. on March 26.

In an update around 9 a.m., March 27, police said he was safely reunited with his family.

His disappearance prompted an Endangered Missing Alert from the department with police telling WWJ that Szpanelewski is on medication for an undisclosed medical issue and left home without it.

The missing teen was described as a white male standing 5'4" ad weighing approximately 110 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Szpanelewski was believed to be wearing a blue and grey hoodie, blue jeans, and tennis shoes at the time of his disappearance.
