The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information for May 9-12: Donald Allen Jr., 48, Hillsboro, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and cited for driving under suspension. Tammy Jones, 45, Wilmington, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Darryl Taylor, 46, Aurora, Indiana, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Water line repairs on E. Locust set for Monday
The City of Wilmington has scheduled repairs to a water line located on East Locust Street. The southern lane of East Locust will be closed between Wall Street and Cashman Lane. Parking will not be permitted in the vicinity of 340 E. Locust St. The repairs will take place on Monday, May 20 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., weather permitting.

Memorial Day observances planned
Memorial Day observances have been announced for Monday, May 27 in Hillsboro, Greenfield, Pricetown and South Salem. In Hillsboro, the program will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial on the west side of the Highland County Courthouse. The speaker will be Thomas Payne, who spent 25 years in the U.S. Air Force before retiring as a major.
