2nd person has died of injuries from crash that killed Lufkin HS baseball player
NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - A driver involved in a crash that killed a Lufkin High School baseball player and injured two people has died. May 19 at 4:05 p.m., a 2006 Toyota Avalon traveling northbound was struck at a hill crest while attempting to turn into a private driveway on U.S. Highway 259, approximately 11 miles north of Nacogdoches, according to a DPS report. The report said the oncoming car was suspected to be traveling at a high rate of speed, collided with the Toyota, and rolled multiple times. A third car struck the debris from the crash. Nacogdoches Constable Roger Dudley said both vehicles directly involved left the road entirely, and ended up in the woods.

Lufkin man accused of using cellphone to make women’s restroom recordings
ANGELINA COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - A Lufkin man has been arrested after police say he used a cell phone to illegally record women in a doctor’s office restroom. According to an arrest affidavit, the investigation into the matter began when a Lufkin police officer was dispatched to a doctor’s office in reference to a camera being found in a restroom. The complainant said she noticed that a cellphone had been taped to the pipe underneath a sink adjacent to a toilet as she was helping her daughter use the restroom.

TRINITY COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - A single-vehicle crash Monday morning near Apple Springs left one person injured and another dead. According to a report by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), troopers investigated a fatal crash on state Highway 94, approximately four miles southwest of Apple Springs, that occurred at 11:59 a.m. Monday. The report states that a 2006 Pontiac G6 was traveling north-east. It is reported that the driver failed to drive in a single lane and traveled into the east ditch, overcorrected this maneuver and side skidded into the north ditch, where she struck a tree.
