Feeding America food distribution scheduled for Luce County Thursday afternoon
NEWBERRY, Mich. (WLUC) - Feeding America West Michigan is scheduled to distribute food to residents in need of assistance in Luce County on Thursday afternoon. The pantry is located at the GCCP Dunlap Center, at 6545 Hwy. M-123 in Newberry. Distribution is slated to begin at 2 p.m. Eastern time. Anyone unable to physically attend can have a proxy or stand in pick up food for them. That person will need to be ready to give the name, address, and household size of any other family they are picking up for.

From the Chippewa Luce Mackinac Conservation District. On Thursday, April 4, 2024 the Chippewa Luce Mackinac Conservation District held their 75th Annual Meeting at the Les Cheneaux Distillers in Cedarville, where they announced the recipients of their annual Land Steward of the Year and other awards. Following the awards there was a keynote address by Connor Crank, Project Administrator for the institute of Water Research at Michigan State University (MSU). The meeting also featured a buffet style baked chicken dinner and Director Election.
