Kaishan Compressors expanding, adding jobs, high-paying salaries in Loxley

LOXLEY, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Breaking ground for an ever-expanding footprint in Loxley’s industrial park is becoming a habit for manufacturing company Kaishan Compressors .

In 2019, they opened a 60 thousand-square-foot facility, three and a half years later they had already outgrown it.

Now they are expanding.

“We think we’ve got the products and we feel like we have a plan that we can leverage and go to the next stage,” said Kaishan Compressors USA CEO Keith Schumacher.

That next stage is an $11 million expansion that will look a lot like their current plant now operating at full capacity.

“It gives us testing manufacturing capabilities, it gives us some warehousing capabilities and it also gives us some research and development capabilities,” says Schumacher.

Along with more space comes more jobs. In this case 50 new high-paying positions with a $4.2 million payroll increase.

“It is very huge for this city,” said Loxley Mayor Richard Teal. “It helps us with our infrastructure projects, help us attract new restaurants and new home development.”

Construction is set to begin immediately and is expected to be completed in a year. Further expansion is already on the drawing board if necessary.
