East Penn adopts proposed district budget with 5% tax hike
EMMAUS, Pa. – The East Penn Board of School Directors on Monday night adopted a 2024-25 proposed budget which has a 5% tax increase on property owners. The proposed $197.8 million spending plan calls for more than $2 million in new district spending to address staffing priorities, according to the district administration. The staffing priorities comprise about 1.8% of the proposed 5% increase, with the remaining 3.2% meeting other increased expenses.
