Northbound Alcoa Highway closed after blasting dumps debris across roadway
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Northbound Alcoa Highway had to be closed in South Knoxville after blasting operations sent large rocks and debris across the roadway. The Tennessee Department of Transportation said northbound traffic was being detoured at John Sevier Highway via Maryville Pike as crews worked to clean up a large amount of debris. Southbound traffic was not affected.
TDOT modifying proposed Louisville Road changes after public input
After receiving widespread objections from nearby residents, the Tennessee Department of Transportation will modify plans to enhance Louisville Road.
