Good morning and happy Tuesday. (You can read today's eNewspaper here .)

According to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Louisville, showers and gusty winds are likely today and a chance of a thunderstorm persists throughout the day. We're expected to see a high around 83.

Here are this morning's top stories so far:

Which option with JCPS choose for start times?: The board for Jefferson County Public Schools will make a decision this evening that could potentially impact hundreds of students yet again as it decides what bell schedule some schools in the district will follow next school year.

Under the two options presented, some students will be forced to move to a 9:40 a.m. start time, though one scenario would make that a reality for more students than the other. Regardless of the outcome, the change will impact families who are not only having to contend with the end of magnet busing in some situations, but also having their young children moved to times that would mean arriving later for work or having those students return home at new hours.

Some parents The Courier Journal spoke with said the decision could potentially mean moving out of the district entirely.
