BELTON, Mo. (KCTV) - City officials in Belton, Mo., say they are in the midst of Carry Nation Days, an inaugural community celebration that boasts a rich history. Carry Nation, a Belton native, was an American temperance advocate who was famous for the use of a hatchet to demolish barrooms. She stood at 6 feet tall and would march into a bar with a Bible in one hand and a hatchet in the other.
