LOS BANOS, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – The Los Banos Animal Shelter received a $7,500 grant investment from the national nonprofit Petco Love, the Los Banos Police Department announced Thursday.

According to officials, Petco Love donated the grant in support of the shelter’s lifesaving work for animals in the City of Los Banos. The nonprofit has invested $380 million in adoption and other lifesaving efforts.

Susane Kogut, the president of Petco Love, says the investment in the Los Banos Animal Shelter is part of the nonprofit’s $15 million investment nationally to ensure no pet is unnecessarily euthanized.

Los Banos Police Department says the investment will provide better care, more love, and brighter futures for the pets in the city’s shelter.
